CHEE Shing Holdings made a $28.01 million profit after tax for the year ended March 31.

The result was a 22-fold increase over the $1.23 million profit made the previous year.
Turnover increased by 58 per cent to 317.94 million compared with 200.76 million in 1993.
Earnings per share were 8.1 cents compared with 0.4 cent in 1993.
A final dividend of two cents was declared, bringing the full-year dividend to three cents.

Group chairman Henry Lai said the early period of the year was difficult for the construction industry. Intense competition had an effect on profit margins.
