LEUNG Wing-hang, Lam Chi-hang and Ho Shu-kee - the group that gave Queen's College the secondary schools table tennis team title earlier this year - are leading a 12-strong Hong Kong students' team on a training trip to Malaysia. The touring party consisted of the six boys and six girls who topped the individuals event at the Epson-sponsored All Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championships. Others in the boys' team are schoolboy champion Tang Kwok-kei of Kiangsu-Chekiang College in Sha Tin, Lee Wai-fung and Cheng Wai-shing. The girls' team is led by No 1 Chan Wai-chong of Lui Ming Choi Lutheran College. The other members are Tai Hoi-tik, Leung Shuk-han, Fung Luk-yan, Lee Pui-shan and Wong Choi-ki. Hong Kong Table Tennis Association chairman Tony Yue Kwok-leung said: ''The trip is a big encouragement for the youngsters, and they should benefit from the experience of training with the top juniors in Malaysia.'' The team left on Monday and will be returning tomorrow. Another party of 12 budding young players will be going to Osaka in Japan tomorrow for the Grand Prix Cup East Asia Hopes Championships. The tournament, one of the biggest international events for the under-12, has also attracted entries from China, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Macau, Mongolia and hosts Japan. Members of the boys' team are Wu Ping-lam, Tang Ka-chun, Wong Ka-leung, Sy Kin-lik, Fung Wai-ki and Wai Tak-sum. The girls' team comprise Ng Yuet-ngor, Ng Wing-sze, Michelle Fung, Wong Shuk-kwan, Jenny Choy and Lai Yin-yung.
