POLICE Commissioner Eddie Hui Ki-on is expected to raise the issues of commercial crimes and drug smuggling during a visit to Guangzhou this week.
Mr Hui, who visited Beijing for three days two weeks ago, will make a four-day official visit with Guangdong Provincial Security Bureau officials tomorrow.
Accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui and head of the Interpol bureau, Victor Lo Yik-kee, Mr Hui will also meet Shenzhen security officials to discuss anti-crime measures.
Mr Hui will also make a detour to his home town of Panyu, in rural Guangzhou, for a brief private visit.
''We shall discuss overall crime situations in the area, and drug smuggling may be included. But the problem is not confined only to Guangdong province. Guangxi and Yunnan have drug problems too,'' he said.
