CONRAD Hotels, the five-star international subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp, announced yesterday that it had signed an agreement to manage a new 400-room luxury hotel in Bangkok.
Scheduled to open in early 1999, the new Conrad Bangkok will be part of the US$600-million, four-million-square-foot All Seasons Place mixed-use complex.
The complex includes office, residential and retail facilities. The hotel will occupy the upper half of a 33-storey building.
It is being developed by All Seasons Property, a joint venture between M Thai Group of Bangkok and China Resources (Holdings) Co from Hong Kong.
The Conrad Bangkok will offer upscale accommodation and amenities for the business and leisure traveller, including a business centre, 14,500 sq ft of convention and meeting space, and extensive fitness facilities.
The hotel will be situated on Wireless Road, in the centre of the city's commercial district and will have parking for 600 cars.
