Workshop sessions to end event

IN addition to the main conference, five workshops finish off the programme at LAN-WAN Asia '94.

Four workshops are being held on October 6.

The first, Planning ATM Broadband in Asia, is led by Fred Sammartino, Sun Microsystems' chief technologist for networking applications. It will focus on the costs and benefits of ATM technology, ATM network management, and ATM applications, including the cable television industry.

Workshop 2 is led by Tom Wyrick, Sprint International's director for international systems and will focus on Implementing Frame Relay In Public And Private Network Evaluations, Planning And Management. Presentations include the costs and benefits of frame relay, various network architecture options, and interworking frame relay and ATM.

Karl Feilder, Network Managers' international sales manager, will lead Workshop 3 on Implementing Integrated Network Management, while Workshop 4 will be led by David Mayo, managing director of M. L. Electro-Optics, and will look at Cabling Infrastructure Planning, Deployment And Management - Meeting The Needs Of Future LANs, WANs And Multimedia Broadband Networks.

A fifth workshop, on October 7, led by Malcolm Duckett, director of next generation marketing at Telematics International, will look at Planning And Implementing New Transmission Infrastructure For Asia's Emerging Carrier Networks.
