THE Express Industrial Building, a 12-storey industrial complex located in Aberdeen is expected to fetch more than $250 million when it is put out for public tender. According to Chesterton Petty, the sole agent handling the property, the Town Planning Board has given its approval for the site to be redeveloped from an industrial site into an industrial-office complex. The agent says interest in the site is expected to be keen because the plot ratio of the site has so far not been fully used, which gives it a greater redevelopment potential. The property is located on the south side of Heung Yip Road. The first 11 floors are reserved for industrial and godown purposes with the total site covering some 13,000 square feet. The property will be sold subject to and with the benefit of all the existing tenancies. Tenders will close on October 5.
