PAKISTANI world number one Jansher Khan hardly raised a sweat as he romped to a straight games victory over England's Stephen Meads in his first round match on centre court, writes Norideen Kitchell.
Jansher, a five-time Hong Kong champion whose only defeat this year was at the Leekes Welsh Classic by Peter Nicol, described his 15-11, 15-9, 15-11 demolition of Meads as ''a good practice match''.
''I've been training all through the summer in Pakistan, just playing with my brothers and cousins but nothing serious, so this match is good practice for me,'' said Jansher, who won here from 1987 to 1991.
''I am confident of winning back the title because I am injury free but the competition is tough with Peter Marshall, Brett Martin and Peter Nicol.''
