POLICE Commissioner Eddie Hui Ki-on will return to the territory on Friday from Guangdong province with eight luxury motor vehicles stolen from Hong Kong. It was revealed yesterday that six Mercedes-Benzes and two BMWs will be brought back at the end of Mr Hui's four-day visit to China - his second mainland excursion since taking charge of the police eight weeks ago. On the trip he is holding official talks with the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Bureau director, Chen Shaoji, and deputy Zheng Guojiang. Yesterday the two sides discussed the maintenance of social order, how to tackle triads and police force administration, the semi-official China News Agency said. After their meeting Mr Hui and Mr Chen said Guangdong and Hong Kong were both facing serious challenges from crime and co-operation was a vital part of the fight against it. On the second day of his visit today, Mr Hui is scheduled to travel to Shenzhen before moving to Panyu, his old home town, for a private visit.
