HONG KONG people are still an extremely conservative group when it comes to sex. Not surprisingly, more than 80 per cent of women, and 70 per cent of their husbands, claim to be opposed to sex outside marriage - according to the most detailed survey on family values in recent years, published today. More significantly, local males tend to be poles apart from their spouses on many important issues. Most think their marriage is a happy one, while fewer wives agree, and instead resent the fact that their husbands do little to help at home. Perhaps the differences in perception between the sexes only goes to show that when it comes to relationships, Hong Kong men and women are no different from their counterparts elsewhere.
