READING the South China Morning Post on August 30, I noted with great interest the article on 'systems to help at borders'.
What is the point of this, when China (at Lowu) has not upgraded its immigration procedure? Even though it now has computers it takes longer each week for people to be processed through the border.
Not only that but each week the PRC authorities change the system at the border. One week an arrival form must be filled out, the next week this is not required. This has been going on for the past four months. Is there anyone who can explain why? Does it just depend on the mood of the immigration officers on a particular morning, or whether or not they had forms printed that particular week? NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
