MAXIMUM claimer Martin C. K. Tsang looks certain to be an exciting addition to the crop of useful young riders coming into Hong Kong racing judging by another faultless exhibition at Sha Tin yesterday on Golden Computer (7-1).

Tsang raised a few eyebrows - as well as cheers - when he brought home Golden Computer at bigger odds last season at his first ride in public.

He looked polished then and he certainly looked exceptionally promising when punching out Golden Computer to a solid win in the Class Five, 1,400-metre seventh event yesterday.

Tsang has balance and obviously good hands as Golden Computer ran on very determinedly for him, easily accounting for Partner (7-2) and the Darryll Holland-ridden Ellen's Voyage (10-1).

Tsang has a good 'sit' and looked completely at one with the horse as he brought him smoothly through to take up the running after coming off the home bend. And there could be strength there, too as he got down to work on the five-year-old who responded well.

Trainer Chris Cheung Ting-pong said: 'He was quite badly drawn but the boy got him over well and rode him quite perfectly. He does not look like someone who has only had a number of rides - not that many.
