IT was hasta la vista for the Terminator - the cocktail, that is - along with everything else alcoholic at Planet Hollywood when police raided the restaurant for possession and sale of unlicensed liquor last night.

Diners were politely asked to stop drinking and waiters quickly whisked away glasses at the theme eatery as 25 officers began the task of hauling all the alcohol off the premises shortly after 6 pm.

Licensing officer and unit commander Inspector Wong Kwong-hing said the restaurant had been operating without a liquor licence since it opened in May with the razzmatazz of a Hollywood premiere.

The stars had turned out for a night to remember. There was Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Steven Seagal and Don Johnson.

But last night, crates of beer and wine and baskets of expensive cognac and liqueurs littered the restaurant's Canton Road entrance.

'The place received a written warning in June and a plain-clothes officer was served beer this evening and so we are now carrying out enforcement action,' Inspector Wong said.
