FEET will be tapping to catchy Latin and ballroom rhythms at a dance spectacular presented by a group of international dance champions.
The Ballroom and Latin American Dance extravaganza, to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium (QES) this month, features five couples, among them Benoit and Lorraine Drolet of Britain. The duo have won a string of championships in the US, Canada and the UK.
Another distinguished pair of performers will be Johan and Nadia Eftedal of Norway. They are winners of several titles in Latin American dancing.
The dance showcase also presents the 1992 and 1993 World Exhibition champions, Michael Chapman and Kristi Lower of the US, and Asis Khadjeh-nouri and Andrea Kiefer of Germany.
The fifth team is from Finland, Juka Haapalainen and Sirpa Suiutari, who are finalists in major competitions in Europe and the UK.
To live accompaniment from the Ross Mitchell Band, the five teams of distinguished dancers will perform the beautiful and elegant waltz and foxtrot; the passionate tango, and those highly catchy Latin dances, the cha-cha, samba and rumba.
