A MOTORIST is claiming $386,000 damages after his BMW car was stolen from a hotel car park.
Stanley Sum Hoon has filed a writ in the Supreme Court suing the Richmond Hotel, Wang Tak Street, Happy Valley, for negligence.
He claims he was given a verbal assurance by the hotel that his BMW 325i would be safe when he left it with hotel staff. But when he went to collect it 81/2 hours later, he found it had been stolen. He claims damages for the hotel's alleged failure to protect his car.
