BANGKOK'S best hotel has been named as the Beaufort Sukhothai by Business Traveller magazine.
The award was presented earlier this month following a poll of more than 900 frequent business travellers who averaged at least 19 round trips in the Asia-Pacific region this year.
The Sukhothai, managed by Beaufort Hotels, received top marks for facilities, decor and food and beverage. It also scored highly on service and value-for-money.
Set in 2.8 hectares in the heart of Bangkok, the 226-room Sukhothai only opened in late 1991, yet has already won a number of awards.
It was voted Best Business Hotel this year by the European business travel magazine, Zakenreis. Last year, the Sukhothai was also judged to be the third best hotel in Asia by Business Traveller.
The 'boutique' hotel is owned by Hong Kong Resort (HKR) International, a group best known for its development of the self-contained Discovery Bay community on Lantau island.
