QUARTERDECK, producers of memory management software and DESQview, a Windows alternative, took advantage of last week's Asian IT Expo '94 to introduce the latest release of QEMM, it's popular memory management package, and Project Normandy, a collection of Internet tools.
QEMM 7.5 is designed to improve integration with the Windows environment by providing a Windows-based install and setup and a Windows version of Manifest 3.0 which allows users to view in-depth outlines of their memory use.
The new version also provides improved boot times with QuickBoot, which Quarterdeck promises will cut boot times by as much as two-thirds and support for Stacker which allows the drive compression utility to put its buffer in protected RAM.
Project Normandy represents the company's first steps into the Internet market.
Quarterdeck products are available in Hong Kong from SiS International.
