Looking back on life in '60s
THE Sixties has been described as a formative period during which a distinct Hong Kong culture was built up.
In view of this, the Hong Kong Arts Centre will present the 'Hong Kong Sixties: Designing Identity' exhibition from November 12 to 17.
It is an ambitious, ground-breaking event which gives the public a chance to look back and to explore our way of life 30 years ago.
The exhibition will feature a broad selection of objects, ranging from painting, photography, industrial design, fashion, book and magazine, popular art, toys, furniture and architecture, which emerged in the Sixties but have mostly phased out with time.
Through the exhibits, the public will be able to see the social, lifestyle and economic changes over the last 30 years.
To help the public better interpret the cultural images of time, the exhibition will be divided into different thematic sections. It will be a nostalgic feast for the public.
