SINCE my first visit to Hong Kong in December, 1984, I have had a love affair with Hong Kong.
No sooner had I arrived home after each trip and I would start planning my next visit.
Over the past few years I have noticed a change in Hong Kong. Now with shopkeepers, unless you're Japanese or American they don't really care whether they secure you or not.
Even residents show very poor attitudes to tourists who after all mean a great deal to Hong Kong's economy.
My visit last month, will be the last time I visit Hong Kong for a number of reasons.
I arrived at my hotel only to be told my room was not ready and I was told to go for a walk for an hour.
I found this most unacceptable. As it was 2pm and as I had stayed with this hotel on eight previous occasions, I expected better service.
