A FACTORY worker yesterday admitted indecently assaulting his 13-year-old daughter and attempting to have sex with her.
The father, 36, was choked with emotion as he pleaded guilty in the High Court to three sample counts of indecent assault and one of attempted incest between January 1, 1992, and April 30 this year.
But he denied 10 further counts of indecent assault and incest against the girl and her younger sister.
Prosecutor Richard Donald, who accepted the pleas, said the man started assaulting the daughter after his marriage hit the rocks.
He told the court the father, who cannot be named to protect his daughter's identity, would climb into the 13-year-old's bed.
He would then kiss her and indecently assault her, but the girl was too afraid to struggle or cry for help and would pretend to be asleep.
