THE elder brother of disgraced former legislator Gilbert Leung Kam-ho will face trial in February on charges related to election expenses after more than a year's legal submissions.

  Leung Kam-chung, 48, did not appear in Kwun Tong Magistrate's Court yesterday as he is in Canada.

   Magistrate Crawford McKee fixed a trial date of February 7.

  Leung pleaded not guilty to three counts of incurring excessive election expenses in respect of the candidacy of his brother in the Regional Council election in May 1991.
