RUNNING into Philip Chan, Metro Broadcast's new deputy MD, we remarked that he looked . . . for want of a better word . . . 'knackered'. This would have had something to do with the fact that, in addition to his executive duties, Chan was also co-hosting a breakfast show with former ICAC deputy director of operations, Alex Tsui.

'My nights are getting shorter, my days are getting longer and my face is getting longer. But my life is not getting any longer,' he lamented on Keeping Posted's shoulder. But someone must have taken pity for Chan is now off the air. Some industry insiders are even whispering that the plug was pulled on 'Mr Versatility' Chan as a result of a directive from one of Metro's dominant corporate partners.
