BOSSES at the hi-tech electronic dictionary firm, Great Broad Ltd, did not mince words when the chance to join the 32nd Hong Kong International Industrial Products Exhibition came along - they knew they wanted to be in as soon as the show was planned.

The company considers the show as a great chance to improve its customer base in Hong Kong, throughout Asia and across the world.

Great Broad is the Hong Kong agent for Lexicomp, a United States firm that makes computerised dictionaries.

For five years, the Hong Kong firm has distributed the products throughout the Asia-Pacific region and considers itself a success, but the opportunities offered by the industrial exhibition have proved a tempting lure to attract more customers.

'This should provide us with a great chance to get our product in front of more people and to get them interested in it,' Otto Kwok, assistant manager at Great Broad, said.

'The exhibition has a long history and, although there has been a break since it was last held, it is still a high-profile event and that is something we very much want to be involved with.' The company will demonstrate its range of computerised dictionaries that provide the capability to translate among English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
