I WOULD like to know why the MTR does not allow full-time students over the age of 25 to apply for the student travel card which offers concessionary fares.

Even though this does not apply to me, some of my classmates are suffering from high MTR fares because they are considered 'over-aged'.
Age is not the appropriate factor for deciding whether a student is worth subsidising or not, because many younger students are, in fact, richer than older students.
I have heard of complaints against the MTR Student Travel Scheme for a long time, but the Mass Transit Railway seems to be very firm on its stance.
All full-time students should be treated equally.
