HO FUNG College is busy preparing for its 20th anniversary celebrations.
According to principal Chan Cheong-lap, celebration programmes will include an Open Day (November 25-27), an alumni dinner (November 27) and a variety show which will be attended by more than 1,400 parents, teachers and students in the Tsuen Wan Town Hall on December 14.
The highlight will be three open seminars on orientation of Chinese Language and Culture, Chinese History and Chinese Literature subjects.
Distinguished lecturers and officials from the Education Department and Hong Kong Examinations Authority will be invited to give talks during the seminars.
The first seminar, held last month, proved to be a success with more than 900 teachers and students from 18 schools eagerly listening and exchanging ideas.
Mr Chan attributed the smooth running of the programmes to support from various sources, such as a $150,000 sponsorship from Sik Sik Yuen, and generous donations of more than $160,000 from parents, teachers and graduates.
