IT is hard to know which Government department to contact about the traffic chaos, garbage dumping, horn blowing, car repairing and washing, and driveway blocking on Kent Road, Kowloon Tong, between Cornwall Street and the MTR-KCR station. A typical day starts around 8 am with company buses blocking driveways, people eating breakfast while waiting, and dumping containers and other trash all over the street. The constant flow of buses results in traffic jams, horns blowing and residents not being able to get in or out of their driveways. Then, after noon, school buses and parents' cars jam up both sides of the street again blocking driveways. They park on the pedestrian pavements and stop in the middle of the street to pick up or let down people. Taxis changing shifts park on pavements, wash cars, and change oil and damaged parts - dumping them on the walkway. Pedestrians often have to walk in the street to get around the taxis. Company and tourist buses, arriving to deposit passengers, drive on to pedestrian pavements, again garbage is dumped, driveways blocked and horns blare until traffic begins to move. Then, usually on weekends and at night, buses line up for charter use, again with more trash, noise of loudhailers by the tour leaders and driveways again blocked. NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
