Hong Kong driver Darryl O'Young will battle for two major championships in his busiest season so far.

O'Young has already competed in rounds one and two of the 2011 FIA World Touring Car Championship (22 rounds) in Brazil last month and will open his 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (11 rounds) campaign this weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit.

The 31-year-old has already won the 12-hour endurance race at Bathurst in Australia in February and competed at Daytona in January.

Add a few more invitational events and the Canadian-born driver will be scheduled to compete in at least 33 races this year. 'It's going to be a big season,' said O'Young, who will drive a new Chevrolet Cruze 1.6 turbo in the WTCC for Bamboo Engineering.

'Last year, I was on a 2008 Chevrolet [Lacetti] model and I didn't really have a chance against the top drivers.

'This year, it's going to be different as we have been upgraded to a highly competitive car. I'm capable of winning the overall title. I'll be in a similar car as world champion Yvan Muller [of France],' he said.
