A DECORATOR who told police he had a homosexual liaison with a senior civil servant decided not to give evidence in his defence yesterday in a blackmail trial. Law Wan-sang, 35, and co-defendant Wan Chor-kow, 36, a transport worker, are on trial in the High Court accused of blackmailing the government officer for $12,000 last November. The civil servant, known only as Mr X, said one of his blackmailers had used 'triad' language in calls to his Admiralty office. He said he did not know either defendant and denied having had any sexual relationship with the pair. Law's counsel, Rodney Pritchard, and Wan's counsel, John Wright, said they would not be calling defence witnesses. The case before Deputy Judge Wong is due to finish on Tuesday.
