Application XE Currency Platforms iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch Price Free
If you've scoured the Web for foreign exchange rates, chances are you're familiar with xe.com. But while the popular currency site is a household name, its related mobile application continues to lack the broad appeal enjoyed by its parent - something it surely deserves.
Bugs in the software's first iteration are to blame, but after putting the latest release to the test, it's safe to say that XE Currency is the one to look out for in the coming months.
The application opens with a short list of customisable, real-time exchange rates for your base currency. These can be refreshed to include the latest figures by pulling down on the list and releasing.
Clicking the currencies on the list pulls up a built-in calculator - perfect for making conversions on the go.
For traders, a small arrow to the right of each currency allows you to pull up its market information in chart form. Dates range from one day to three years and can be adjusted through a series of buttons along the bottom of the screen.
