The government is suing for HK$120 million a company responsible for establishing a data system for the Social Welfare Department. In a writ in the Court of First Instance, the secretary for justice alleged that HP Enterprise Services had failed to remedy a breach of a US$5.6 million contract in 2004 to set up the system by November 2005. In 2006, the government rejected the company's request for a 15-month postponement.
