This week we test: lip crayon

If you're the kind of girl to keep a dozen lipsticks, glosses and liners in your handbag, try the convenience of a lip crayon - an all-in-one for your lips.

Bobbi Brown Lip Crayon (HK$190)

Closet pencil chewers would probably like this because you get the scent of the wood right under your nose for an hour or two. The colour was good, but needs constant reapplication. Comes with a convenient sharpener.

RMK Lip Crayon (HK$210)

You won't notice much difference between this and regular lipstick. Apply lip base for greater staying power. The colour is solid with not-too-visible shimmer.

NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil (HK$220)

In between gloss and regular lipstick, it has the perfect consistency: smooth and moisturising. The jumbo-size crayon packaging is really convenient and easy to use. One hitch: for the price, you might run out sooner than you'd like.

Vidi Vici Flash Lip Crayon (HK$290)

It works well as a liner and all over lip colour - both defining lip contours and coating lips with a moisture-rich, sheer finish. Just one complaint: it's too shiny for everyday use but perfect for 'night out' makeup.

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm (HK$130)

Adorable packaging (that'll send you mentally back to playschool) contains hyper-moisturising, buildable, not-too-glossy colour. Perfect if you want a subtle lip colour.
