POLICE are continuing their investigations into the inspector who moonlighted as a gigolo for the high-class Europea escort agency.
The middle-aged inspector, who is married with children, went back to his office in Aberdeen last week to discuss the allegations with his bosses. He refused to comment on his work with the agency when contacted by the Sunday Morning Post yesterday.
'I have no questions to answer,' he repeatedly said.
'I have not been suspended, I'm on sick leave.' The officer was found to be on the staff of Europea when details of the agency's activities became public following an attack on its boss, Roberta Hilburn.
Ms Hilburn, 51, was found lying in a bloodstained bed in her Wan Chai flat. She had been badly beaten and stabbed after appearing on the front page of a Chinese magazine wearing only a towel and straddling a customer while rubbing massage oil into his chest. Terrified Europea staff fled the building following the attack but the agency has resumed full operation.
Ms Hilburn is known to have sent escorts to wealthy and important clients, including leading figures in the judiciary, legal profession, government and business community.
