Cocktails were on the menu on Tuesday, as TVB actress Leanne Li Nga-nam, model Jennifer Tse Ting-ting and actress Nancy Wu Ting-yan put their mixing skills to the test. They were plugging Sunday's Audemars Piguet QE II Cup race day at Sha Tin.
Li (pictured), who admits she's more confident cooking food than mixing drinks, was pleased with the results. 'I'm pretty happy with my first cocktail, thanks to the professional bartender who gave me a hand.'
Li, who says she often cooks for her comedian boyfriend Wong Cho-lam, might be able to add cocktails to her repertoire. 'I cook him noodles and spaghetti - and he always compliments my cooking. He's keen on TV cooking shows and loves experimenting with recipes, which encourages me as well.'
With Mother's Day coming up, Li is planning something more than a meal for her mum. 'Last year, I wrote my dad a song. So I think this year I'll write another one, for mum, for Mother's Day.' And for her future mother-in-law? It seems Li's already given that some thought. 'If Cho-lam doesn't have to work on the day, we'll take his mother out for dinner.'
