Achievements Chun-pong, 18, swims for Hong Kong and was the captain of his school team in the 2009-2010 season. He won two gold medals and broke the 50m and 100m breaststroke inter-school records at the 2009-2010 Inter-school Swimming Championships (Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, Division One) and successfully defended his title in the same events in the 2010-2011 competition.

He swam for Hong Kong in the Asian Swimming Championships, coming eighth in the 50m breaststroke and ninth in the 200m breaststroke races.

He won gold in the 50m breaststroke and silver in the 100m breaststroke races at the 53rd Malaysia Open Swimming Championships last year.

Soundbite 'I was quite unlucky throughout my secondary school swimming career. I had to take the HKCEE in 2009 and this year I have the A-Level exams. These exams came just before the East Asian Games, Asian Games and the China City Games. Every time I go for a time trial after taking exams, I am about one second slower than the qualifying time,' Chun-pong says.

'I have never participated in the All China Secondary Schools Students Games and this year I won't be able to either as they are limited to students born after September 1992 and my birthday is in July 1992.
