Just can't get her out of your head since her last concert was cancelled? Don't fret, Kylie fans - the (other) queen of pop is finally returning to Hong Kong.
Kylie Minogue will be staging what is expected to be a typically spectacular stage show on July 1 during a world tour in support of her latest album, Aphrodite - already Minogue's fifth No 1 album in Britain.
The album is a glorious return to what she does best - blasts of unabashed pop bursting with electro-lite and the shiny-smooth production of Stuart Price, whose disco chops have also slicked up the likes of Madonna and the Scissor Sisters.
Hong Kong is just a one-night stop on the Southeast Asian leg of Minogue's multimillion-dollar production. Paying homage to Greek mythology and culture, Aphrodite Live sees a sprawling cast of dancers and aerial performers cutting shapes alongside a four-metre Pegasus and a golden chariot.
The army of diehard Kylie fans will be able to spot about 200 different costumes at the Convention and Exhibition Centre, with eight custom-made Dolce & Gabbana outfits for Aphrodite herself. Expect to be as dazzled by the diamante crystals (more than a million are reportedly part of the costuming) as by the vocal candy from Australia's first lady of disco pop.
