The crowd was treated to some exciting games at the youth finals of the Mega Ice Hockey 5's on Saturday.

It was a long day - the semi-finals for the youngest teams in the inter-school tournament started at 6am and the bantam division finals (mixed teams aged 15 to 16) were played from 11pm.

And by the time the prize presentation had finished, it was past midnight.

But that was all part of the fun for the teams competing at Mega Ice in Kowloon Bay.

In the bantam division final, Wildfire took on the boys from Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) in the late game.

It was a thrilling match-up - played in three 12-minute periods - and could have gone either way in the first period.

Wildfire's Keith Tsang scored first to give his team a 1-0 lead at the end of the second period.
