Climate change seminar at CityU
The City University has invited Professor Bill Randolph of the University of New South Wales to present a research seminar on 'Climate Change Challenges for the Built Environment' on May 17 from 4pm to 5.30pm. Workshop for mediators at HKU
The University of Hong Kong's faculty of law will run a workshop on 'Concession Strategies for Mediators' on May 19 at 9.30am to 1pm. Professor Richard Reuben of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law will share specific tools and techniques that mediators can use to facilitate concessions that will lead to settlement. The workshop is suitable for novice and seasoned mediators. The fee is HK$900 and three Continuing Professional Development points will be awarded to workshop attendees. IS conference at PolyU
The Joint Universities Computer Centre is hosting its second Information Security (IS) Conference on May 19 to 20 at The Polytechnic University. This year's theme is 'Implementing Information Security in the Higher Education Community'. Speakers include representatives from the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, KPMG International, HSBC and Cisco Systems The fee is HK$400 per day.
