EXCLUSIVE British estate agent Pereds of London is turning to Hong Kong to find a wealthy buyer for singer David Bowie's fantasy Mustique island home.

Bowie and his wife, Somali-born supermodel Iman, are spending more time in Europe and particularly in Umbria, Italy, where they are planning on building a summer home.

The Bowies' house is one of the most exquisite on the Caribbean island with Balinese-style pavilions linked by a covered loggia and walkways, around a series of flowing pools and lush gardens.

The rock star, whose neighbours include Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and Princess Margaret, collaborated with a team of top landscape architects and designers on the hilltop site in Britannia Bay.

He had the idea of running water feeding into pools and the swimming pool, and architect Arne Hasselqvist did the rest.

Pereds is quoting a price in the region of US$4 million and at least a further $1 million for its contents. Staff are ready to serve a new owner.
