Hong Kong's best road-race riders will make another push for precious Olympic qualifying points in the National Championships in Pat Sin Leng Country Park, Tai Po, on Sunday.
Choi Ki-ho, Hong Kong's leading cyclist - sitting in 18th place in the Asia Tour rankings - will be joined by Kwok Ho-ting, Yeung Ying-hon, Cheung King-lok, Chan Chun-hing and veteran Wong Kam-po for the 105-kilometre competition.
The race course runs along Bride's Pool Road from Tai Mei Tuk to Luk Keng seven times.
Most of the Hong Kong team members are in Shandong province for the All-China Road Race Championships and will arrive home the day before the race.
'We are still the seventh team overall in the Asia Tour rankings and need to use every opportunity to improve our standing,' coach Shen Jinkang said.
'With the Olympic qualifiers due to end in September, it's going to be very tough for us now.'
