HKU talks on Chinese business networks and Western impact

The University of Hong Kong's (HKU) Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences - which includes the Centre of Asian Studies - will bring together modern historians from across the globe at its 'Business Documents and Transnational Chinese Business' conference. The event looks into the issues from the late-19th century up to the 1980s that have shaped Chinese business networks and also the impact of Westernisation. June 27 to 28, 9am-6pm.
