QUEEN Elizabeth School, the first government co-educational Anglo-Chinese Secondary School, is set to launch a series of celebrations for its 40th anniversary. The opening ceremony scheduled to take place on Sunday will include the laying of a time capsule and a reunion fun fair at the school playground. Sports competitions, folk dances, an exhibition of past photographs of the school, and a lunch buffet will capture the attention of guests and students, past and present, and the staff. The final event will be a lucky draw with fabulous prizes. Two more major functions have been lined up for January in the form of a charity walk for the Community Chest (January 15) and reunion dinners (January 14 and 15).
