Mercedes-Benz goes all out to wow media and VIPs for launch of new SLK-Class and C-Class Coupe cars
It can never be too over-the-top when it comes to a car launch. What the latest convertibles have to do with scantily clad pole dancers escapes us, but last Friday's Mercedes-Benz party was quite a blast.
The carmaker hosted an afternoon session with the media and a soir?e for VIPs at the Convention and Exhibition Centre to introduce the new SLK-Class and C-Class Coup?.
The event kicked off with a dance routine by pole dancers and the music of Led Zeppelin. The babes were untouchable, but guests got to take snapshots and actually feel the cars.
TVB actors Fala Chen and Bosco Wong Chung-chak were there to pose for the cameras, alongside the cars. Chen said the first car she bought was a white Mercedes-Benz C-Class. 'Nowadays I hire a driver to drive a van for me,' said Chen, whose current taste in cars is more practical. Asked if she liked convertibles, Chen replied: 'I like the privacy the roof provides, and I don't want to get sunburned.'
