World record holder Jin Linlin spins her way into city for hula hoop stunt
Mainland stuntwoman Jin Linlin never has to worry about her waistline. The holder of a Guinness World Record for spinning more than 300 hula hoops simultaneously said she could easily lose 4kg in a single week training for the stunt.
Jin will perform at Cityplaza in Taikoo Shing this weekend as part of the mall's summer campaign, which will see six teams of stunt artists perform 44 shows until August 21.
Jin got her first hoop 10 years ago when she was 13. 'I never imagined making a career out of this ... I just liked it,' she said.
It wasn't until 2004, when she read about the records on the internet, that she decided to try it. In 2007 she broke her own record twice, spinning 262 hoops.
The petite beauty, who weighs just 40kg, topped her record again this year by simultaneously spinning 305 hoops weighing a total of 25kg.
'There's a lot of training behind it, including building strength and balance,' she said. Sounds perfect for shaping a bikini-ready body.
