Cathay Pacific has confirmed it is carrying out a 'full investigation' after two photographs surfaced appearing to show a flight attendant performing oral sex on a pilot aboard a Cathay aircraft.

The pictures have reportedly been circulating among airline staff. There are also whispers that a video of the encounter has been posted on the internet, and that the identity of the cabin crew member is known to Cathay Pacific staff.

A company spokesman would only say that it was trying to verify the identity of the woman, who was dressed in what appeared to be a Cathay Pacific cabin crew uniform.

'As we have more than 8,000 cabin crew, some in Hong Kong and some elsewhere, this process will take time,' he said. 'The male in the photo is not identifiable as the face is not shown. There is no evidence whatsoever that he is a pilot on duty. His clothing does not appear to be Cathay Pacific pilot uniform.

'One of the photos appears to have been taken inside an aircraft cockpit. There is no way to tell conclusively whether the photo was taken while the aircraft was on the ground or airborne.'

The spokesman said Cathay had a clear policy on conduct by employees that brought the company into disrepute.
