Japanese fashion house Tsumori Chisato showcased its fantasy-inspired autumn-winter collection at Central's Azure restaurant and bar, with plenty of knitwear, pastel hues and girlie ornaments to admire. Guests at Saturday's event were also kept occupied with a flower arranging workshop and went home with unique, do-it-yourself pots of blossoms. The guest-of-honour, model Gaile Lai Kei-yi, showed up in a flowing maxi dress, looking like she had been indulging in a full-fat diet during her recent holiday in the United States. 'No, I'm not pregnant,' she said after the show, denying a rumour that has done the rounds a number of times since she married Canto-pop king Leon Lai Ming three years ago. 'I can't help what the gossip magazines say. For someone who doesn't even know me to write about whether I'm pregnant or not is pretty mean.' Still fresh from her holiday, Lai was in fine form. She said she wouldn't mind sharing the news if she was pregnant. 'I'm an honest person. If it was really true, I'd be happy to say so.' But that will have to wait, as Lai has plenty on her plate. 'I'm going to wait until at least next year. You see, it's already summer, soon it will be Halloween and then Christmas. Too many occasions to celebrate,' she said. Does she really think there will be fewer festivities next year?
