Gough Street in Central is fast becoming a fashion destination with the opening of a range of chic boutiques in the area. The latest is The Collectives, a multilabel boutique-cum-showroom that not only stocks hip brands but also sells a selection of its own wares. Founded by a small group of industry players from Hong Kong and overseas, the two-storey space sports a sleek, industrial design featuring dark wood floors and a loft-like vibe. Upstairs, customers will find British brand Wondaland, known for quirky vintage prints and embellished dresses; Thai brands Milin and Vickteerut, featuring versatile looks for day or night; colour block separates from New York label Rotten Bananas; and sexy cutout neon dresses and casual wear from Los Angeles brand Nuj Novakhett. The highlight of the store is a luxurious 140 sq ft Carrie Bradshaw-style walk-in wardrobe downstairs. Inside, you'll find fashion essentials, including next-season samples, cosmetics and fragrances, and sculptural jewellery from brands such as Katie Rowland. Best of all, the store can take size requests and offers custom-made pieces from select designers. Don't forget to ask the staff for samples of skincare products they're testing. The Collectives is at 45 Gough Street, Central, tel: 2543 2808; www.thecollectives.org .
