Anhui Conch cements tripling of net profit

Anhui Conch Cement, the mainland's largest cement manufacturer, saw net profit more than triple to 5.98 billion yuan for the first half of the year, largely due to a boost in cement prices and sales volume. The group produced 70.84 million tonnes of cement - a year-on-year growth of 12.8 per cent compared with 2.1 per cent for the whole country.
