Comeback singer has cats, rather than children, on her mind

Still looking refreshed following her comeback concert in March, veteran singer Vivian Chow Wai-man stepped out as spokeswoman for slimming centre Elyze's event at the Ritz-Carlton on Tuesday.

Despite Chow's widely known decision to remain childless in her 20-plus year partnership with now-husband Joe Ngai Chun, the entertainment media could not resist asking the 43-year-old whether she would ever change her mind.

'I would never say never about anything,' Chow said diplomatically. 'But my in-laws have always respected our choice not to try for children, so there is absolutely no pressure.'

She has, however, welcomed two additions to the family, and is expecting one more later this month. 'We've just brought home a pair of twin Bengal cats - they are the sweetest things. And I plan to adopt another cat very soon - so our family is actually growing. Taking care of them is keeping my hands plenty full.'
