One of America's basketball legends will be dunking and dribbling at the APM shopping mall in Kwun Tong this Saturday and Sunday as NBA Madness returns to Hong Kong for the fifth year in a row. Currently the United States' National Basketball Association has locked out its players - meaning they can have nothing to do with their teams until a dispute over pay is resolved. But the dispute has not stopped the NBA from promoting basketball as a global game. Championing the cause at APM will be NBA great Dominique Wilkins, otherwise known as the Human Highlight Film because so many of his spectacular plays have been worthy of being featured on TV sports round-ups. Supporting the former Atlanta Hawks star will be the on-court dance team for the Memphis Grizzlies, the Grizz Girls. There will also be a fan slam-dunk competition and a fan dance-off competition, with both Wilkins and the Grizz Girls acting as judges. Fans will also have the opportunity to get some pointers from Wilkins - one of the all-time top dunkers, known for his mid-air twists and turns, and a two-time winner of the NBA Slam-Dunk Championship. You can then show off your shooting and passing skills in a variety of games, with a chance to walk away with some prizes. There will also be two new basketball shooting machines this year and a jumping chart to see just how high you can leap. And if you dream of one day earning your own NBA Classic Jersey, don't miss the 16 shirts that will be on display. Even if you do not win any prizes, you can still go home looking like a winner after having a photo taken with the NBA championship trophy.
