AT 21, Tara Ferry with his full lips, fine cheekbones and sweep of dark unruly hair has the moody, sensuous, if slightly rebellious looks beloved of the Romantic poets. It is a cool, wistful image that Mario Testino captured beautifully in Burberry's spring campaign when he photographed Ferry with Tali Lennox (Annie Lennox's daughter) on a chilly winter's day on England's Brighton Beach.

Tara is the fourth of Bryan Ferrys' sons to be recruited by the brand for their perfectly pitched, moody campaigns featuring beautiful Burberry-clad youths, which have been instrumental in repositioning the brand. 'Actually, I did the Burberry campaign back in 2006,' says Tara Ferry. The whole family have modelled for Burberry and they got me onto it - or maybe it was Mario who roped me in.'

He's been modelling on and off ever since, striding down the catwalk for Burberry in January and doing editorial work for Club Monaco and influential style bibles like Dazed & Confused and L'Uomo Vogue. At the moment though, he has other things on his mind - notably his own band, Rubber Kiss Goodbye, formed with his friend Oliver Thompson, and touring as drummer with his father and Roxy Music.

Despite Bryan Ferry's minor heart scare earlier this year, his Olympia world tour has been over Europe this summer and is about to start its US leg. Apart from allowing a little father-son bonding time, Tara says it's been 'an amazing experience, but the constant travel is very tiring'.

After performing at the Hop Farm Music Festival in Kent at the beginning of July, the band were flown by helicopter to Gloucestershire to do a late gig the same evening at Kate Moss' wedding to Jamie Hince. A thank you to a friend, as Kate Moss graces the cover of Bryan Ferry's new Olympia album. Just over 24 hours later, they were performing in Vienna and three days after that, they were in Paris at Natalia Vodianova's Love Ball, in aid of her charity The Naked Heart Foundation, which was held in the grounds of Valentino's chateau.

Rubber Kiss Goodbye is sitting on the back burner for the moment, as is his fine art degree at Chelsea School of Art, while Tara and Oliver Thompson tour with Tara's dad. 'We started Rubber Kiss Goodbye in 2008 and have been mainly writing for the past few years with the odd gig here and there,' says the younger Ferry. 'Me and Oli met at school and started jamming - when we left, we formed the band.'
