The team behind Wan Chai design outlet Kapok has launched a concept store in K11 Art Mall, based on all things nautical.
Fittingly named Sailor, the store stocks a range of chic clothing and accessories that the French doyens of design have cast their discerning eyes over.
Kapok founder Arnault Castel says: 'This is our first venture into a large commercial space and we have focused on good design related to the nautical theme.'
Alongside Saint James' deliciously French striped jumpers and shirts are products such as Guy Cotten raincoats (HK$1,480), Orcival marine tees (below right; HK$490 to HK$780) and a selection of Bensimon tennis shoes (above right; HK$450 to HK$780).
The cool, stripped-down interior resembles the set-up of the Wan Chai Kapok store, with a central island filled with neatly folded shirts and canvas shoes. Playfully scattered around the walls are anchors and life belts, as well as knick-knacks related to exploration and travel.
Sailor is in K11 Art Mall, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2520 0114.
